about usThe Harry B. Crewson Foundation, Inc. was established by the Ohio University Credit Union and its board of directors to honor the credit union's founder, Dr. Harry Crewson. The Harry B. Crewson Foundation, is a nonprofit foundation charged with a mission of offering scholarships to incoming Ohio University students. In addition to academic achievements, emphasis is placed on contributions to community service, fine and performing arts, athletics, forensics and other special talent areas.
The first Harry B. Crewson Scholarship was awarded in 1976.
Ohio University Credit Union Financial Service Vice President Cory Corrigan announced that our Investment & Tax department will make a $50,000 donation to the Foundation. The donation will be used to match any contributions to the Crewson Foundation up to $10,000 per year each for the next five years.
The Crewson Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school students who are members or the children of members who will be attending Ohio University. Currently, we award three $3,000 scholarships.
A committee composed of volunteer members meets and reviews each application carefully before choosing the winners.

You can also support the Crewson Foundation through your estate planning. There are many types of planned giving strategies - your attorney or financial advisor can advise you of the various types to meet your needs. The Harry B. Crewson Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.
