A: It’s recommended. As a joint owner you can easily make deposits at ATMs, thousands of shared branching locations, with mobile check deposit, and through online transfers from your account to theirs.

As a joint owner, you can call us for account assistance anytime. You can also set up text or email account balance alerts.

Easy Ways to Get Money to Your Student

CUTransfers
Students can send and receive funds from their accounts at other institutions (A2A) or to another person (P2P), such as a parent, no matter where they bank. Your student would simply initiate a request to you securely through online banking using either a cell phone number or email address. There is no charge for this service.

Shared Branching
Transfer money through your home credit union. OUCU belongs to a shared network that includes over 370 credit unions in Ohio and more than 5,400 nationwide.
