An external transfer lets you send or receive money from a different financial institution. There are two different types of external transfers: account-to-account (A2A) and person-to-person (P2P).
This allows you to transfer funds to/from an account you own at different financial institution.
This allows you to transfer funds to/from an account owned by another person at a different financial institution.
After logging on to CATS online banking, select “All Services” then “Funds Transfer.” Click on the “External” tab, then click the “Enroll Now” icon. Review the terms and conditions then check the box at the bottom to agree before clicking the “Submit” icon.

Yes. To change or cancel a scheduled transfer, locate the transfer in the “Funds Transfer” screen under the “Status” tab. To change click on the pencil icon, then make the needed changes on the screen that follows. Once changes have been made, click “Submit,” review the details and confirm by clicking “Submit Transfer.” To delete a transfer click the trash can icon, then click “Yes” in the window that pops up.
NOTE: You cannot change or cancel transfer once they are in-progress.
These are accounts that you hold at another institution that you have setup to send or receive funds.
After logging on to CATS online banking, select “All Services” then “Funds Transfer.” Click on the “Accounts” tab. Under the “External Accounts” heading click on the “Add New External Account” icon. You’ll need to provide details about the account, including the account and routing numbers. After adding the account, a test deposit will be sent for verification purposes. It can take 1-3 days for the test deposit to be processed.
Verification ensures that you have access to the external account and that the transfer has been set up correctly. To verify the account, you will need to retrieve information on the test deposit that has been sent to your external account. Please see the question below for more details.
Check the transaction history of your external account and locate of the test deposit has been received, record the amount. Log on to CATS online banking, locate the account you need to verify in the “Funds Transfer” screen under the “Accounts” tab. Click on the green checkmark and enter the amount of the transaction that was posted to the external account. Click verify. The status for this account will now show “Verified(Enabled).” You are now ready to send and receive money with this account.

You will need the other person’s mobile number or email address. Once the transfer is sent, the recipient will get a link to a secure site where they can enter their own account information.
This is a word or phrase that you create when submitting P2P transfers that will be shared between you and the recipient. When you create the transfer request, you will need to inform the recipient of the shared secret in order for them to accept or decline the transfer request. NOTE: The shared secret is case sensitive.
Your transfer cannot be completed until the recipient accepts the request. After the recipient has accepted and all their information has been provided the transfer will take 1-3 days.

With P2P transfers, you can send or receive a maximum $500 per transaction and a total $1,000 per day.
