What are Alerts?

Alerts is a service that allows you to create specific event-triggered notifications for your OUCU accounts. Notifications are sent as an email or text message on supported mobile devices. 

Is there a cost to use Alerts?

No, this is a free service for OUCU members. However, standard message and data rates apply for mobile devices. 

How do I sign up for Alerts?

Activate Alerts in online banking. Click on the three lines at the top left of the screen, then select “Alerts”. You’ll just need a valid email and/or valid mobile device.

How do I set up a new alert?

In online banking, click on the three lines at the top left of the screen, then select “Alerts”. Select “Alerts” again from the menu bar on the left side. Choose “Manage Alerts”, then click on the toggle switch on the right hand side to turn on the alert. Set delivery methods or conditions for each alert

How do I add additional email addresses and phone numbers?

Click on the three lines at the top left of the screen, then select “Alerts”. Select “Recipients” from the menu bar on the left side. Choose “Add Recipient” ., then select the type (email or mobile), enter details, and click “Send Activation.” Enter activation code, then click “Activate and Continue.”

What types of alerts can I set up with Alerts?

There are 12 types of alerts that you can set to be notified of the status of your accounts:

  • Payroll/ACH Credits
  • Insufficient Funds
  • Automatic Withdrawals
  • Bill Payment Notification
  • Debit Transactions
  • ATM Card Transactions
  • Daily Account Balance
  • Deposit Account Balance
  • Checks Cleared
  • Loan Account Balance
  • Loan Payment Due
  • Certificate Maturing

How do I set up credit card alerts?

In online banking, click the three-line menu icon at the top left, then select “Card Services,” then “Visa Purchase Alerts.”  If you need to enroll in purchase alerts, click “Check Eligibility” and follow the instructions on the Visa website.  If you are already enrolled, click “Sign In”.

How do I cancel Alerts?

In online banking, click the three-line menu icon at the top left of the screen, then select “Alerts”. Select “Cancel Services” from the menu bar on the left side. Review notifications. If you are sure you want to cancel, click “Continue.”

What are the system requirements for Alerts?

Alerts requires a valid email address or valid mobile device text/email address. If you use a spam blocker, you should allow emails from addresses using the oucu.org domain.

If I use Alerts, will OUCU share any addresses I provide with other third-parties or use them for purposes other than Alerts notifications?

Any addresses provided will solely be used for Alerts notifications and will not be shared or used for any other purposes. You can refer to our Privacy Policy for additional information.
